Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong warning of the danger of extremist statements by an Israeli official regarding imposing Israeli occupation sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, and building and expanding settlements, stressing that these statements undermine peace efforts, including the two-state solution, encourage wars, produce more extremism, and double the threat to the security and stability of the region.

It affirms that the Kingdom considers these statements a blatant violation of international laws and relevant UN resolutions, and consecrates the occupation and expansion in seizing lands by force, which constitutes a dangerous precedent, stressing that the consequences of continued international failure go beyond the limits of this crisis to affect the legitimacy and credibility of the rules of the international system, and threaten its continuity.
