The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) vehemently condemns the deadly explosion staged on Wednesday 11 December 2024 in the Afghan capital Kabul, reportedly killing the Acting Minister for Refugees and Repatriation and several others.

The General Secretariat expresses its utter dismay over the bloody attack whose perpetrators should be promptly brought to justice.

Admittedly, the General Secretariat indicates, that the security environment in Afghanistan has improved over the past couple of years, but such insane attacks continue to mar the security and safety of Afghan society, hence the pressing need to step up efforts toward rooting out violence-prone groups bent on disrupting the security and peace in Afghanistan.

The General Secretariat offers its genuine condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured prompt recovery.
