Jeddah (UNA) – The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held today in the Kingdom of Bahrain a workshop on Zakat in cooperation with the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).

Accounting expert Ashraf Boudia spoke during two sessions about Zakat in general and Zakat within the framework of Islamic financial institutions.

The workshop is one of the professional development initiatives that aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the principles of Zakat from the legal and financial aspects, and to develop financial services in Islamic banks and financial institutions.
